Leading pentecostal churches in Nigeria have explained why TB Joshua cannot be granted permission to join their fold, The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, (PFN).

One of them, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, voted one of Newsweeks 50 Most Powerful People in the World went further to say that he will not even worship in Joshua’s Church.
Asked whether he could worship in Joshua’s church, Adeboye retorted,“No! Definitely not! If he wants me to
come and minister in his church, we will sit down; we will discuss the issue of salvation the way I understand it, according to the scriptures. If we agree on that and he now wants me to come and preach the same message of salvation in his church, then I will go.”
For President of the PFN, Rev. Ayo Oritsejafor of the Word of Life Church, before Joshua could even qualify to be a PFN member, he should show who tutored him as a pastor in the first place. Joshua is reputed to have said that he was converted in his mother’s womb.
But the PFN president replied that, “Jesus did not say by their words you will know them; he said by the fruit you shall know them. If T.B. Joshua can show me his pastor who pastored him before he said he was called into the ministry; if T.B. Joshua can tell me when he got converted and how he got converted, then we would consider him. Anybody who is a Christian is a Christian because he received Jesus Christ at a point.
I gather he said he was converted in his mother’s womb and I don’t see anybody like that in the Bible. It is a conscious decision you make and it doesn’t happen in your mother’s womb.”
Secretary General of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev Moses Iloh in his response to the controversy, asked the government to leave Christian leaders out of their national awards.
Recently, some of religious leaders in Nigeria were given national honours by President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua based on their humanitarian services.
The awards were criticized by some religious leaders who said some of them, such as Pastor TB Joshua did not deserve the award. In the ensuing the controversy, General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God has declared that he will never worship in TB Joshua’s church for any reason whatsoever.
Reverend Ayo Oritsejafor, President Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, lashed out that TB Joshua’s healing and miracles are not yardsticks to admitting him into any of the religious group, CAN or PFN, just as Reverend Moses Iloh , scribe of Christian Association of Nigeria,(CAN), a body responsible for regulating the affairs of Christianity in Nigeria added his voice to the controversy. Excerpts:
Why has the Fellowship refused to grant T.B. Joshua’s application for membership?
I will love to leave that one to the president because when the president speaks, it will be PFN that speaks. It will not be the personal opinion of Pastor Adeboye; but I can assure you the PFN has spoken before on that issue and if you raise it with the president once more, he will tell you exactly what we said.
As a matter of fact, I remember there was a publication in several newspapers, where the leaders of PFN signed to reiterate the body’s decision on this particular person. If you ask the president again, he will elaborate on that.
Is it a foreclosed issue? Is it that the man cannot repent? Why is the Church dancing round the issue of T.B Joshua?
The Church is not dancing round the issue of Joshua. We said what we said categorically and by the time you make a publication in newspapers, you are sticking out your neck.
You are saying that if I am sued on this issue, it is okay by me. So, by the time you go as far as putting your signature down in a publication, you have made your stand absolutely known. There is no issue of dancing round it here.
Now, on the issue of repentance, anybody can repent. I mean why are we preaching the gospel? We are preaching the gospel because we believe that even those who say there is no God today can change their minds and say there is God tomorrow. You needed to know who I was before the Lord saved me. So, if He could change my life and turned me into a preacher, He can change anybody.
But if he invites you, will you minister in his church?
No! Definitely not! If he wants me to come and minister in his church, we will sit down; we will discuss the issue of salvation the way I understand it, according to the scriptures. If we agree on that and he now wants me to come and preach the same message of salvation in his church, then I will go.

What is happening to some memberson suspension and those who have not been allowed to join the body?
Let me start with those that have been suspended. All of them are back in the body, with the exception of one or two. And I think things have been smoothened out. Nearly of them had come and written to apologise to us.
They have all gone through that. It is only one person that I have not written to inform of the lifting of suspension and that is because of one technicality or the other. On those that have not been allowed to join, you have to take each case on personal merit.
On Ayorinde, honestly I don’t know much about him and his case. I have seen him in some of our gatherings but honestly I don’t know much about him.
And if that is anything wrong, it will be brought to my notice, and if he feels he is not accepted, he has to come and talk to me so that we can sort it out. But those that we think are doing offensive things, we will accept them when they take care of these things.
Why are you not taking TB Joshua?
We are not taking T.B Joshua but like I said, he too can repent and be converted tomorrow. T.B Joshua can say I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal saviour; I repent of my sins. Then he can say, come check me out and see what I am doing then we can consider accepting him. PFN is for all; nobody is really excluded.
But he too preaches the gospel with miracles?

Joshua can show me his pastor who pastored him before he said he was called into the ministry; if T.B. Joshua can tell me when he got converted and how he got converted, then we would consider him.

Govt should leave Christians out of awards, says Iloh
How would you describe the national honours given to some religious leaders by President Yar’Adua?
It’s a Federal Government palaver, and as long as it is PDP that is in power, it is in the best position to honour any Nigerian with whatever honour. And it is the right of any honoured Nigerian to either accept or refuse.
And if you look at those who were given the honours, they were a mixture of different persons including those who called themselves nominal Christians, Pentecostal Christians and even unbelievers.
First of all, it is expedient to look at the yardstick on which these particular persons were honoured.
One should not also forget that the Federal Government is not a Christian government, so its yardstick might not be based on the Bible.
And so if one should look at it from that perceptive, it (FG) is at liberty to do what it wants but the important thing is the decision of the individual to accept the national honour.
But, personally, I do not agree with various kinds of honours given by whatever government, not only now but even in the past.

Isn’t Prophet T.B. Joshua qualified for such honour?
That someone is picking beggars on the street does not mean he should be honoured. If a robber steals from the nation’s treasury and comes back tomorrow with all kinds of gifts for the poor, it does not make him a saint.
Would you close your eye from the fact that he is a robber? I would rather look at the source of his wealth than what he offers. It only interprets that he is a crook, a liar, a cheat and he must not be honoured.
It doesn’t matter what he does. The one who gives the final honour is Jehovah. I’m not against giving to charity but let us look at this so-called charitable fellow or organisation.
I would rather say religious people should not be included in such honour. As a child of God, it is always good to give glory to God. Every religious leader should learn how to say no to such award. They can only thank the government and reject the honour. That is my sincere advice to the so-called pastors who belong to my constituency.
Government should try and leave Christians out of awards or honours because they are not working for perishable reward.. They can be honoured for other things but not for doing the work of God. Let government stop tempting Christians.
What’s CAN position on this issue?
If you want my opinion, CAN should be dismantled now because it is not actually a Christian dominated organisation as it should. CAN should be dismantled so that what is called church in Nigeria could be restored.
Let every church leader come together and have a standard and well structured constitution based on the word of God that would better the church and the country.
It will interest you to know that there is what we called chosen in CAN which is contrary to the word of God. There is everything in CAN both Christians and non-Christians and as much as you want to know anybody can belong to CAN.
The fact remains that CAN was not founded on Christianity and so it would be difficult to start debating that now.
It was founded during a military regime and that makes it an emergency organisation. It is better if Christian leaders can come together and put up a visible church that would represent the invisible body of Christ which is called the Church and the only head of that church is Jesus Christ.
CAN should resolve to put up a body capable of ruling the nation. I belong to CAN but I have always wished and prayed that one day, it will be pushed apart so that we can have a church in Nigeria.

Mr./Ms. Bright, who has the final say? Is it PFN, CAN or Jehovah? does any member of PFN or CAN have the right to call anyone into Ministry? Most of them are the cause of our problems in today's Nigerian Christiandom by appointing the their cronies and uncalled persons as Pastors leading many into error and apostacy. Be wise, study more of the true scripture not what your PFN/CAN Pastoral mentors say, because we know them and their works. If the so called PFN and CAN can do a quarter of what Prophet T.B. Joshua has done and still doing for Nigerians and people from other nations; our country will be the best in the whole world. All what they are clamouring for is human validation and that is the basis of today's Christianic failures we see all over the world. The so called "big and senior pastors" in Nigeria wants to remain relevant, whereas "they have not expressly displayed what it takes to be true and genuine representatives of Christ". If Prophet T.B. Joshua's miracles, deliverances, healings and genuine dissemination and dissection of the scriptures are fake and evil, let these gentlemen operating on Rev. 3:15-16 go ahead doing their own things and leave judgement to God. Joining a group of PFN or CAN (Pharisees and Saducees) or educational achievements or speaking queen's english have nothing to do with the Kingdom of God as instructed by Jesus Christ.. Mark 9:38-39 says 'Teacher,' said John, 'we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.'
39 'Do not stop him,' Jesus said. 'For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,". Let them all criticizing Prophet TBJ keep their peace, as I have listened to Prophet T.b. Joshua's theology and spiritually scanned his actions; I do not agree with anyone that prophet T.B. Joshua is evil until God says so. Let us all fear God.

I strongly agree with the comment posted by Pastor Olu. I am not a Nigerian I am from the Philippines. I have downloaded a lot of sermons of T. B. Joshua, Miracles, healings and deliverance performed in the SCOAN, I have watched crusades in Mexico, Singapore, Columbia, prayers to the viewers. I tell you it touches my heart so much, I am being encouraged, blessed and by God's will I plan to visit Lagos, SCOAN my dream is that one day I will joining the thousands of people in the SCOAN in worshiping God. In my heart, I see him as the real man of God, its time I watch EMMANUEL T.V. it seems that what happened in the book of Acts is the same. I am so blessed with the ministry of SCOAN. I downloaded the praise and worship and its so awesome. God does as he wills. Plz brothers in Christ read Gal 2:6-8. Also Paul was never preached to before his conversion. The Lord appeared to him first. Conversion is repentance and it can take place personally between you and God. It is God who knows your heart. You can be converted personally by reading the word and God himself speaks to you through it. I'd better be silent than to criticize something that I do not understand. Read Jude 10. The bible also says that if it is from God, you cannot defeat them. You could find yourself fighting against God. Note that these other men of God are not God and could be in error too.

By the way, if they are saying that T.B. Joshua is an agent of satan, then their anointed corporate prayers should have disarmed him and his crew by now. Unless they are sying that they are the ones serving the devil and he is the son of light. Or are they powerless before the devil?. Quote me. tselvis@yahoo.com . Raphael I am not surprised at your genuine assertion that since you started watching T.B. Joshua you have not felt the presence of the Holy Ghost. It's not everyone that feels His presence. When the sons of God were gathered in the presence of God in the Book of Job, Satan was there. He never felt the presence of God and he will never feel it. The presence of God cannot be with one who is not connected to the "Holy Ghost freequency". In the Old Testament epoch, The Ark of the Lord epitomizes His honorable presence. When the Ark was brought to the Israelite camp, the presence of God was there but God was not with them that's why they were slaughtered. Since when has the presence of the Almighty God been determined by man's feelings?

I think TB Joshua has done a lot to save many lost souls. God is the only One who knows the truth about who is true or who is fake. Pray to Him and ask Him to reveal the truth to you and He will do so. I am saying this because I believed and honoured one of these preachers with all my heart and even wished that I could have powers like them when God intervened and revealed all the truth to me about this Pastor/prophet which shocked me. I will not mention who he is but when I read most of the negative comments on the internet about this person, I realised how lucky I am that God intervened and warned me before I was mislead into believing the fake miracles performed by this man. My advice to all the people out there is that we must all engage in prayer to ask God to guide us, instead of us using our own strength to judge other people. God is the only one who knows the truth. I don't understand these so-called christians sometimes, Someone who called him/herself a christian and yet all they do is to criticize what others are doing , I mean If this so-called Adeboya thinks that he is really a christian why is he critcizing T.B. Josua of not being trained and do a prophet needs to train before he/she start preaching the world of God, I think being a preacher suppose to be about a call from God not by preaching, I have seen people being train to become a Rev. but later decided not to go on that part, it has to be a call ok.There's no man of God that should judge others and I really think Mr. Adeboya is dead wrong for everything he said on the Interview and I think should really ask yourself if you're a true man of God , I don't know you or T.B.Josua however, I did some research on you and him it seem like he's a good man who has done a lot of charities by building houses for homeless people , building school and hospitals ,providing foods etc.but for you all I had of you spending over $28ml to purchase a jet for your own personal use while other people around is suffering and yet here you are trashing T.B.Josua and you called yourself a man of God? The Church in Nigeria is growing and we thank God for it. Dr. Pastor E.A. Adeboye, was a onetime Lecturer Department of Mathematics, University of Ilorin Nigeria. We worked together and took pictures together in the Department. I respect his faith in Jesus Christ and his immense service in bringing the gospel to the world. Today his Church is one of the fastest growing congregations worldwide. The Christian body is grateful to him.
I have equally followed the work and ministry of Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). Unlike Adeboye, Joshua did not school to get a first University degree let alone a Ph.D. in Mathematics. T.B. Joshua focuses on (a) Deliverance (b) Family Reconciliation (c) Giving to widows, sponsoring students at different levels, and helping others (d) Healing and general Miracle (e) Preaching the Word of God as Jesus has taught us and (f) Running prayer & worship services. Many people have benefitted greatly from his ministry across nations. He has also contributed to the good image of this nation in tourism and its well being. In Christianity what matters is our salvation and having our names in the book of life. We however need to serve our communities also.
There is no basis to compare one pastor and the others, because there is no basis to compare the work of Peter and John, Paul or Apollo, etc, because services in Christianity complement each other. The level of expressions, presentations, explanations of each pastor may reflect their ethnic, educational, and even their community backgrounds. But their level of faith in Christ Jesus and call to His service should not be in doubt.
The Gamaliel test approach will suffice for each pastor, whether they are Paul, Silas, Bill Graham, Adeboye or T.B. Joshua. That is time will tell whose work will last. The Holy Spirit in us will also make us agree on whom to follow. But we have no struggle on whom to follow because it is only the Jesus in the Bible we must follow. Secondly each pastor must endeavour to train enough disciples to continue the task and be accountable to a higher Christian body. Unfortunately many Christian congregations are today only self accounting. Finally I believe that T.B. Joshua is also a great Christian Prophet of our time and we should pray for him continuously also.

Well, I have read the entire article which has nothing to do with what the website should be about, from beginning to end. I read with shock and fear the degrading manner in which some vilify TB Joshua ignorant of the repercussion thereof. As a believer, I am very careful about my own opinion on this matter since am in no position to judge except God.
There is no doubt in my mind about the call of God on the lives of Pastors like E A Adeboye, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, David Oyedepo, Prophet TB Joshua, my own pastor Dag Heward Mills etc.
However, these men of God are no super beings like Jesus and can speak from their natural minds without having to hear from God at times. It is possible! It is up to us the followers to look at what they tell us in the light of God's Word.They (men of God) can make mistakes like any of us. I stand to be corrected anyway.
What I have realised is that, the punishment God could be meting out to these pastors who try to paint TB Joshua black is that, any time that happens, God takes a portion of their anointing and add it to that of TB Joshua. The more this happens, the more the grace and anointing on TBJ increases whiles his haters struggle with their own power.
If you are a true believer and want to know who is of God or not, just go to God in your closet and ask Him to show you. He will show you and you will see the light or darkness the man/woman operate with.
I have heard of many mighty men and women of God who have not been brought up by other men of God. What name then do we call those? toddlers of God?
Believe it or not, TB Joshua/Emmanuel TV is having more and more followers than any other Christian channel in recent times. People get healed, blessed, delivered and saved just by watching Emmanuel TV. They preach Christ and do what Jesus commands us to do by feeding his flock. They do not only feed people with the Word of God, but feed them also with natural food i.e. bags of rice, cars, scholarships, money, accommodation, just to mention a few.
I am a Ghanaian and not even a member of Synagogue but am always thankful to God that I know a prophet of God like TB Joshua. It is true, a prophet is of no honor in his own country. Is there any button that all Nigerians can press to push or automatically relocate TB Joshua to Ghana? We need him here if you don't want him there. If you agree with me, let me hear from you. I first learnt of Prophet TB Joshua around 1994 through VHS Cassettes a family friend brought for us to watch. I was 18yrs old at the time. By then emmanuel.tv wasnt around. I watched all those tapes, about four of them. Just almost immediately upon watching the first one, I said; this is the ministry of Jesus. Ever since that time, there has never been any iota of doubt in any part of my system that Prophet Joshua is a gift to the body of Christ. Well, a Prophet has no honor among his people.
To this day, I am yet to meet someone who will bring out a sound theological truth that will sure that Prophet Joshua is contrary to the canon of scriptures as we know them.
It is interesting how the world of science is longing to see new innovations and moves, but the Christian world wants to remain stagnant; when we see a move we do not understand we criticize.
Well, you can choose to receive a gift, you can still choose to reject it - the ball is in your court.

They dont realise there are certain things hidden to them, things only meant for the true sons of God. I confused me when a man of God will come publicly and start criticizing his follow man of God,it makes me realized the reason they could not fight the common goal,with all the evidence in the light of God,s word, its only Senior Prophet TB Joshua who does what he preaches and no man of God...who address the issue of Nigeria for peace and no other man of God...why can,t they leave TB Joshua alone and focus on their own spiritual work of God?

Even in d Anglican church....Some Bishops Uses the priests in d diocese to generate money for themselves i.e Assesemment,synod,women conference,August meetings,Dues e.t.c....HORRIBLE#And all dese C.A.N/P.F.N....they are CRAPPP!
Generating money from their numerous branches,Private secondary/tertiary schools,and so on.....and still have poor,sick,homeless members?!.its ridiculous.i just dob get it!.

It puzzles me to see how children of God are fighting at each other because they wanna prove a certain individuals are men of God or not. c***y! For those of u who say TB Joshua doesn't look like a man of God how does a man of God ought to look like? Dump ass fellows. Jesus was born in a place where sheep and goats were kept. Am pretty sure if fellows like u were there, for sure u were gonna say he isn't the messiah cuz he wasn't born in the best hospital in Bethlehem. Just like what one of the folks said above. Let God be the judge ok. All these drama that is going on among Christians is caused by some of our leaders. The body of Christ is falling apart instead of uniting strong. Have any of u folks ever thought of a scenario where all these men of God come together to pray for Africa? Economic oppression can't stand their prayers, abject poverty can not. Not even Bokoharam can't. But they can't do that cuz they don't even wanna see each other. Another reason for all these bizarre and weird opinions about others is lack of purpose towards their calling. If u are called a teacher of the word, be the best teacher. If u called a prophet be the best and respect ur peripherals. If u are called a Preacher or Healer of the word respect that. We are all working for one Goal people. Bringing folks into the kingdom of Jehovah. But it becomes a problem when u think u can operate in all. U get to a point u start envying those who have the gift u don't have. Next u start questioning their source. People lets go back to the basics. " LET JUDGEMENT AND VENGEANCE BE MINE , SAYS THE LORD."

Dear pastor Adeboye is not up to yo to Judge prophet TB Joshua . Is up to God okay? I know all these you are saying is out of Jealousy and hatred on the prophet because he chooses to do the right thing. Talking about how he became a pastor or who ordained him. What have that got to do with allowing him becoming a member of the PFN ? I don't see any pastor in you if you can take judgement in your hands. You preach the gospel but yet I don't see any difference between you and the unbelievers. Prophet does not need to invite you to minister in his church.
